Burgers' Zoo is a 45 ha. new type of zoo. A 1.5 ha. indoor
tropical rain forest, Burgers' Bush is home to mammals, birds,
reptiles and fish, moving freely among thousands of tropical
plants. Burgers' Desert is a rock desert with giant cacti and many
unusual animal species. In Burgers' Ocean visitors take a 'dry'
dive into the tropical seas in South-east Asia, home to corals and
many colourful fish. Do not forget to visit Burgers' Safari, the
habitat of zebra's, giraffes, antelopes and rhinoceros as well as
lions and cheetahs. In Burgers' Zoo you will see a large chimpanzee
colony, gorillas and elephants. Opened in 2008, Burgers' Rimba
takes you past Malay animals such as tigers, bears, monkeys,
monitor lizards and deer. Finally, the zoo boasts several
restaurants and a large children's play area!
